A Double Boost of Anti-oxidants For Spring

A double boost of anti-oxidants in a Shake and in a mask! for Revitalizing Your Skin.

Smoothies, cold and tempting, besides being yummy (!), are excellent for skin nourishing and rejuvenating, getting ready for the spring.

Our skin is affected by every aspect of our lifestyle. Natural serums, creams, and other nourishments applied topically are very effective - but they are one component in the broader picture, including a range of lifestyle habits.

Some of these lifestyle habits include exposure to the sun, sports, rest (sufficient sleep), drinking or smoking habits, use of topical care products, and of course… our nutrition choices.

Adhering to a healthy, natural diet and using natural skincare products supports each other.

When making this smoothie, you can use every red fruit you can find around!

Red or purple vegetables and fruits offer us plenty of antioxidants.

Why do we need antioxidants?

Oxidation is a natural process that takes place in our body. Still, its proliferation and excess, caused by poor diet and lifestyle choices, are significant factors in developing free radicals that contribute to the ageing process.

Antioxidants are ingredients that can help the body eliminate or fight the effects of free radicals.

High consumption of antioxidants is vital to neutralise these damages. In other words, antioxidants are critical ingredients in preventing skin ageing.

So here it is, a sensual tasty smoothie for skin rejuvenation.

To make sure it tastes delicious, try it, play around with the ingredients and their proportions, and make it your own.

You can change, replace or take off one of the ingredients; it will still be delicious, for sure!

- 10 Goji Berries (high in antioxidants and vitamin C)

- A handful of blueberries (high in antioxidants, vitamin C, anthocyanin)

- Half a cup of red grapes (resveratrol antioxidants)

- 4 almonds (calcium, magnesium, minerals, and enzymes)

- 3-4 cherry tomatoes (bursting with lycopene)

- 1 red apple (for its potassium, vitamin A and retinoids)

Add 1/2 cup of coconut milk or water, and blend.

A raw, red smoothie bursting with antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins will be a fantastic boost to your spring.

Actually, the same ingredients mixed well will make a fantastic purple antioxidant mask to apply topically! - Here, you get a double boost.
